A partnership between alumni and friends in Bermuda and Canada has yielded great results. The Degroote Bermudian Alumni Dalhousie/Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) Fund has raised 90% of its $1 million fundraising target. Nearly half of the total amount has been raised by Dalhousie alumni.

The funds will support student internships and faculty exchanges, and support future leaders in oceans research.
