Dal alumni finalists for entrepreneur awards
Several Dalhousie alumni businesspeople are among finalists for the 2015 EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards in Atlantic Canada.

Several of the new appointees to the Order of Canada announced on July 1, 2015 have Dalhousie connections, including William (Bill) Black (BA’70, BSc’70) and former Dalhousie research professor in the Department of Philosophy, Dr Susan Sherwin.
Dal athletes to enter ’15 NS Sport Hall of Fame
Paralympic medalist Andrew Haley (BComm’96), Olympic gymnast David Kikuchi (BSc’01), Junior A hockey coach Jim Bottomley (BA’79), and the 1995 Dalhousie Tigers Men’s Soccer Team will be inducted into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame in 2015.
Dal alumni among 2015 Trudeau scholars
Two Dalhousie University alumni are among the 16 recipients of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation’s 2015 doctoral scholarships: Jennifer Peirce (BA’03) and Benjamin Perryman (MDE’11).

Dal at the Discovery Centre – event recap
On Saturday, May 9 Dalhousie hosted an alumni event at the Discovery Centre in Halifax which welcomed local alumni along with their families and friends. Approximately 100 guests were in attendance.

The Silicon Valley Business Journal has named alumna, Erin Rand (BEng’99, BSc’99) to its 2015 Women of Influence list. Rand, COO at ServiceRocket, is also a member of several groups supporting women in technology.
