NS-sport-hall-of-fame logoSeveral Dalhousie alumni will have their extraordinary accomplishments recognized when they are inducted into the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax.

Paralympic medalist Andrew Haley (BComm’96) is one of para-swimming’s greatest success stories, with a world record and numerous World Championship and Paralympic wins.

Olympic gymnast David Kikuchi (BSc’01) is a back-to-back All-Around Canadian Champion with unparalleled results in international competition.

In the builder category, Jim Bottomley (BA’79) has an unmatched record for leading Junior A hockey teams to success, including the province’s only team to ever win a national title.

This talented inductee class is completed by the 1995 Dalhousie Tigers Men’s Soccer Team, which earned its first-rate status by being the only men’s soccer team from a Nova Scotian university to win a CIS Championship. The roster of players included: Trevor Chisholm (BComm’96), Mike Hudson (MA’98), the late Sean Pedersen (BSc’97, BPE’98, BEd’97), Graeme Allardice (BA’97), Stephen Cormier, Marc Rainford, Matt Serieys (BSc’96), Jeff Hyles BA’01), Mike Ayyash (BA’99), Chris Devlin (BScK’97), Paul English (MA’98), Ante Jazic, Dave McFarlane (BA’98), Gregor MacAskill (BSc’96), Eric Pinfold (BRec’96), Chad Denny (BA’00), Chad Thorpe (BPE’96), Mark Ellis, and Jeff Hibberts (BA’01).
