The Coordination of Every Detail: FORT Architecture Inc.
In the spring of 2018, Meghan Bannon (MArch ’11) joined with Tara Marshall (MArch ’09) and Landon Anholt (BID) to create FORT Architecture Inc., based in Calgary. FORT is a full-service architecture and interior design firm. Focusing mainly on hospitality, retail and food and beverage design, they have also created a separate division for residential and small-scale projects.

Bryan Langlands (MArch ’92) is a Principal at NBBJ New York. NBBJ is a leading architecture and design firm dedicated to improving the way society heals, works and thrives. NBBJ was recognized by Fast Company magazine in 2018 as the “Most Innovative Architecture Firm in the World”.
The Whole Nine Yards: Shallyn Murray (MArch’12)
Shallyn was born and raised on PEI and graduated with a Masters in Architecture from Dalhousie University in 2012. Shallyn became a registered Architect in 2014 and created Nine Yards Studio with partner Silva Stojak in 2017. Nine Yards Studio was recently been awarded an RAIC Urban Design Award for their Urban Beehive project in Charlettown, led by Shallyn.

Jennifer Watts (MURP’96) was recently appointed CEO of Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS), the largest immigrant serving agency in Atlantic Canada. Jennifer previously held the position of Director, Settlement and Integration at ISANS.
Omar Gandhi Architect Inc. (BEDS’03, MArch’05)
Omar Gandhi (BEDS’03, MArch’05) is a Canadian architect raised in Brampton, Ontario currently practicing and residing in both Halifax and Toronto. Gandhi started his own design studio, Omar Gandhi Architect Inc., in 2010 and became a registered architectural practice in 2012. The studio has been the subject of local, national and international publication.

Originally from Winnipeg, Susan Doreen Turner (BEDS’87, MArchFP’89) is an associate and Historic Preservation Leader at Bailey Edward Design in Chicago. She was elevated to Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 2016 for her work in Historic Preservation.
