After graduation Meghan Bannon (MArch ’11) moved back to Calgary to begin her architecture career. She previously worked along side now partners Tara Marshall (MArch ’09) and Landon Anholt (BID) at a Calgary boutique firm.  In the spring of 2018, Meghan joined with Landon and Tara to create FORT Architecture Inc., based in Calgary. FORT is a full-service architecture and interior design firm. Focusing mainly on hospitality, retail and food and beverage design, they have also created a separate division for residential and small-scale projects.  A team capable of designing from conception to building completion, they also offer services in styling and furniture procurement. FORT favours a holistic approach to their designs, believing that everything from your exterior façade to coordinating the finer details should be thought of in unison.

Starting out the three partners took a leap of faith and immersed themselves in the design of a small, Calgary based microbrewery called Ol’ Beautiful.  From that first project the firm quickly gained momentum and numerous client referrals. This allowed the addition of several more projects to their quickly growing food and beverage project resume.  Having been in business for just under a year, the FORT team continues to add exciting restaurant and bars to the Calgary social scene; with six projects completed thus far and a dozen more slated to wrap up by the end of the year.  Their project list includes several microbreweries, micro-distilleries, cideries, restaurants, barbershops, ice cream shops and a handful of residential projects. They are also currently working on their first project in Vancouver, a new Craft Beer Market.
