Alumna awarded with RAIC’s 2020 Emerging Architectural Practice Award
The RAIC has announced that Charlottetown’s Nine Yards Studio is one of two recipients of the 2020 Emerging Architectural Practice Award. The RAIC Emerging Architectural Practice Award was established to recognize the achievements of new practices—for the quality of their built work, service to their clients, innovations in practice, and public recognition.

Emma FitzGerald’s eclectic artwork depicts childhood of local poet
Emma FitzGerald (BEDS’06, MArch’08) is the illustrator of a book based on the childhood of poet Elizabeth Bishop who spent time in Great Village, N.S. Her first book, Hand Drawn Halifax, won several awards and accolades.
New grad Jaudat Adnan (MArch’19) wins 2019 Arthur Erickson Travel Study Award
Jaudat Adnan (BEDS’17, MArch’19) has been selected for the 2019 Arthur Erickson Travel Study Scholarship from the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. The jury was chaired by Peter Jacobs and included Brigitte Shim, David Covo, and Barry Johns (BArch’72).
