Dalhousie alumni and friends gathered at Zinc Restaurant in the Art Gallery of Alberta for the Edmonton reception on April 23, 2015. Dalhousie Chancellor, Anne McLellan (BA’71, LLB’74) was in attendance, along with Faculty of Architecture and Planning Dean, Christine Macy. We also presented two Building a Better World honourees with their framed photographs from Dal Magazine. Architect Brad Pickard (MArch’10) helps build community by engaging members in the projects he pursues. The pediatric hematology oncology program that Dr. John Akabutu (MD’67) launched in Alberta in 1972 has helped achieve a 95 per cent survival rate for Canadian children with common forms of leukemia.

Here are a few photos from the event. Thanks to everyone who attended – see you next year!
