Twisted Oak Studios, a Halifax-based virtual reality tech firm, signs seven-figure deal
Twisted Oak Studios, a Halifax-based virtual reality gaming studio co-founded by Devin Horsman (BCSc’09), has been purchased in a seven-figure deal by River Studios in San Francisco.
The deal allows Twisted Oak, renamed River Canada, to remain based in Halifax. The deal will also enable the firm to grow its team.
“We’ve almost tripled in size since then. We have about 13 people now.” said Horsman in an interview with Entrevestor.
“Think Pixar movies that change with what you do while you’re watching them. The characters will interact with you. There are interactive elements in games that you play that change while you play.”
