Sean Sears (MBA’89) is one of several Canadian startup founders participating in the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) in Boston, Massachusetts.

Canadian embassies and consulates operate twelve tech accelerators around the world, including Boston’s CTA. These accelerators offer Canadian entrepreneurs living abroad the opportunity to access high quality mentorship and meet potential clients and funders over a three- or four-month program.

Sears completed his MBA at Dalhousie and has become a successful Halifax-based entrepreneur, founding ventures such as sageCrowd and Abridean. He has been involved in the Boston CTA for two months and has already experienced three breakthroughs that will help his business thrive.

Former New Brunswick premier David Alward, pictured above, oversees the Boston CTA as part of his new duties as Canada’s consul general in Boston.
