Dal alumna, Tara MacIntyre-Olesen (BA’97) was one of this year’s inductees into the Saint John Sports Hall of Fame. She also was inducted into the Volleyball New Brunswick Hall of Fame in 2010.

MacIntyre-Olesen played on the Dalhousie volleyball squad from 1990 to 1993 and was scouted by the Senior Canadian National team in 1993. She played in the 1995 Pan American Games in Argentina where the team won bronze. Having since stepped away from volleyball, she has fond memories of the sport, and especially of her time at Dal, saying “The volleyball itself was just so much fun, it wasn’t a job, it was just pure passion and I had so much fun doing it for those three years.” Congratulations to Tara on earning this recognition!
