Dalhousie Computer Science grads are helping to change the way businesses generate revenue.

Leadsift co-founders Sreejata Chatterjee (BCSc’07), Tukan Das (BCSc’07), Hatem Nassrat (BCSc’06, MCSc’09) and Daniel Allen got off to a slow start after launching their social media analytics company.

Since refining its software, the team has seen revenue growth of up to 70%, including business from several Fortune 500 clients.

The software now scans social media posts and identifies people looking to buy certain products. Businesses can then use key information to reach out to these potential customers and boost profit.
