Emma Eisses (BAg'13)

As the winner of the Nova Scotia International Business Development Internship, Emma Eisses (BAg’13) will soon be travelling to Iceland. Eisses is the sole recipient of the internship award, funded by the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and open to graduates of Dal’s Faculty of Agriculture and the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University.

After spending two weeks at the Department of Agriculture in Halifax, Eisses will embark for Reykjavik, Iceland for six months. There, she will be working under the Trade Commissioner to Iceland and will focus on building links between agri-food exporters in Nova Scotia and importers in Iceland.

Eisses graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture’s International Food Business program, which gave her a global perspective on the agri-food business. She feels very privileged to have been awarded this opportunity to continue to gain experience directly related to her field of study.
