Halification was the big winner of HRM’s Apps4Halifax contest. Creators Majd Hussini (BEng’09) and Sam Jawich were awarded $12,000 in prize money when winners were announced in January.

Contestants had three months to create the best app using open data from the city of Halifax. Hussini’s app lets users easily access recent crime stats, parking ban information and more. Now he is working on a new version of the app and inviting input from Haligonians and fellow alumni.
