Karyn McCombe (MBA’87) and her business partner Christa Ackerman have expanded their retail presence in downtown Halifax through the recent purchase of All Dressed Up. The business partners already own Chester & Felicity, a bridal and prom wear shop on Dresden Row.

Through their new acquisition, McCombe and Ackerman plan to reach further into the prom wear market, building on the already strong reputation of All Dressed Up in the prom business. The expansion will also allow them to offer lines of less formal clothing, which will help even out sales throughout the year.

McCombe and Ackerman have 20 years of retail experience, and are looking forward to expanding their business in Halifax’s shopping centre. The pair is keeping all five of the staff at All Dressed Up employed in the new business, and is planning to introduce new sales technology and loyalty programs for customers.
