Patrick LaRoche (DEngR’03, BCSc’03, MSCSc’06), Ozge Yeloglu (MSCSc’07) and Tokunbo Makanju (MCSc’08, PhD’12) (pictured, left to right) are three entrepreneurs that make up topLog, a company designed to help network system administrators.

The company came out of Makanju’s doctoral thesis. It works by analyzing the events of a network and automatically learning what is normal and irregular within the system. Such knowledge can prevent the system from going down, as well as alert administrators of anything unusual. TopLog saves time spent on manual labour and money.

The company is now working on roll-out plans.
