Dartmouth native Dave Smart (BEng’92) took a gamble when he gave up his job as a mechanical engineer to open a restaurant.

Smart is now head chef at Front & Central, a casual dining establishment in Wolfville, NS. The restaurant has made its mark on the national food scene in a short amount of time; it recently ranked 51 on Vacay.ca’s list of Canada’s top 100 restaurants.
