Dal alumna, Ellen Costello (MBA’83) became the 21st business leader, and only the 2nd woman to receive the Daniel Burnham Award for Distinguished Leadership. Costello is currently CEO of BMO Financial Corp. and U.S. country head of BMO Financial Group.

Gerald Roper, president and CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, which gives the award says, “Ellen has really started to make a huge impact in charitable organizations BMO is involved in.” Ms. Costello serves on 11 nonprofit boards, including Chicago Community Trust, United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, After School Matters and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
