Filmmaker Ariel Nasr (BA’05) of Halifax was recognized earlier this year when the short film he produced, Buzkashi Boys, was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Live Action Short category. Nasr has been recognized again for his work, winning Best Short Documentary for The Boxing Girls of Kabul at this year’s Canadian Screen Awards gala.
