Event Details

As we begin 2015 we are looking for feedback and volunteers from all faculties to help us shape the future of the Toronto Alumni Chapter. If you have ideas, feedback, or experience you would like to share, please join us at our Annual General Meeting. We are hoping to have representation from all 12 of Dalhousie’s faculties at this meeting and generate ideas for the goals of the chapter in 2015 and beyond.

For those of you interested in new volunteer leadership experiences, there will be opportunities with the chapter executive for you to consider.

Chapter Volunteer Executive Positions

Dalhousie provides material, logistical, and promotional support to our chapter. Peer-to-peer, professional, and financial support are also provided. Dalhousie requests only one chapter organized event a year to qualify for support. As an executive we set our chapter’s goals and select our activities. We request volunteers make a two-year commitment. The following positions represent the current framework, and will be filled at the AGM:

• President/Chair (one or two positions): chairs meetings and gives direction to the executive. (i.e., 1st in command)
• Vice President (one position): works with chair(s) and manages communications within the executive (i.e., 2nd in command)
• Social Media/Communication Chair (one or two positions): liaises with Dal to provide event details for promotion; manages chapter email account, Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Events Coordinator (one or two positions): liaises with venues for events; liaises with Dal for event support.
• Faculty Representatives (one or two positions per faculty): attends executive meetings; leads the organization of one faculty-specific alumni chapter event.

Meeting agenda will be forwarded to those attending. Appetizers will be served.
