Four reasons to join the Dal Insight Circle
The Dal Insight Circle launched in August 2020 with more than 500 members as Dalhousie’s largest alumni volunteer initiative in our 200-year history. Entering year three, we are ready for our biggest year yet, but we need your help to get there.
Over the past two years, Insight Circle members have responded to one strategic questionnaire per month. Their responses influence a variety of university initiatives and programs, including: equity, diversity and inclusion; communications; career services; alumni benefits; impact and stewardship; and Dal’s global rankings and internationalization efforts. Our goal this year is to engage 1000 alumni from around the globe, further strengthening Dalhousie and its impact on a regional, national and global level.
So if you haven’t already, here are the top four reasons you should consider joining the Dal Insight Circle!
1. It’s borderless, flexible and online
No matter your location, time-zone or schedule, the Dal Insight Circle is our most accessible volunteer program. With just one digital questionnaire per month, you can share your voice when its most convenient for you.
2. Gain exclusive access to monthly swag and grand-prize draws
Complete the questionnaires and be entered to win monthly prizes, including Dal swag packs. In addition, each questionnaire you complete automatically earns an additional entry into grand prize sponsored by Taste of Nova Scotia!
3. Have direct influence on the Dalhousie programs and initiatives that matter to you
Every year our Dal Insight Circle volunteers shape the future of programs, initiatives, and strategies that support our campus and communities. Key findings are reported back to our volunteers every month, along with a robust end-of-year Impact Report. We keep you informed every step of the way!
4. Enjoy a national award-winning volunteer experience
We prioritize a valuable, fulfilling experience for our Dal Insight Circle volunteers. We have maintained a 4 out of 5-star member rating across our past two years. In addition, the Dal Insight Circle was awarded the Gold Medal for the Best Volunteer Initiative in the 2021 Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education’s national Prix D’Excellence Awards!
So what are you waiting for? Join the Dal Insight Circle today and together we will create a shared vision for our future.
