Rob North (BComm’95) of Great North Aleworks recently took home an award at the World Beer Cup in Philadelphia, PA.

North took silver in the 88 American-Style India Pale Ale category, a category with 275 total entries.

The World Beer Cup is a highly-international competition, with entries being judged by a panel of 253 judges from 31 countries.

The event is hosted by the Brewers Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting small and independent brewers in America.

The Association also hosts the Great American Beer Festival, Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America, SAVOR℠: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience, Homebrew Con, National Homebrew Competition and American Craft Beer Week.
