Alumni Reception in Ottawa

This year’s Alumni Reception in Ottawa brought together over 130 alumni to toast their Dal connections on November 25, 2015.

Alumni, friends and even prospective students gathered at the National Gallery to reconnect, share stories, and hear about developments at Dalhousie.

Dalhousie Alumni Association President Courtney Larkin (BMgmt’10) addressed the crowd, sharing her enthusiasm about being able to connect with new faces in Ottawa and her goals to engage more than 125,000 living Dal alumni around the world during her term as president.

Peter Fardy (MBA’85), Vice President of Advancement at Dalhousie, brought to life the new developments on campus, ranging from the Wallace McCain Learning Commons to the Collaborative Health Education Building. He stressed the innovative nature of these new learning facilities, which will allow students to exchange ideas and learn in interdisciplinary settings.

The Dalhousie Alumni Ottawa Chapter took the podium to present alumni pins to those celebrating a reunion year, as well as to award door prizes to the winning attendees.

After the speeches, the crowd continued to mingle with old classmates, faculty deans in attendance, and their chapter and DAA representatives.
