The Stratford Festival is an internationally-acclaimed annual theatre festival launched in the early 1950s. The festival primarily puts on Shakespearean plays.

The Stratford Festival’s 2016 season runs from April to October. During the 2016 season, Talwar will star as Menteth in Macbeth, Touchstone in As You Like It and Louis XIV in The Hypochondriac.

Talwar studied theatre at Dalhousie, graduating in 1988.

His past performances with the Stratford Festival include Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Peter Pan, Dangerous Liaisons, Julius Caesar, Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Nothing. 

Talwar has also starred in numerous other theatrical productions, as well as film and television works including Orphan Black, Puck Hogs, The Border, Flashpoint, Guns, Supernatural, and Murder Unveiled.
