L-R: Business partners Marko Lindhe (BA’12) and Noah Maislin (BMgmt’11).

Fellow Dal alumni Noah Maislin (BMgmt’11) and Marko Lindhe (BA’12) have recently co-founded a business that provides minute-taking services.

Minutes Solutions was created to provide groups ranging from condo boards to non-profit organizations with minute-taking services during meetings. The firm also offers meeting newsletters and summaries and plans to branch out into training webinars.

“Every corporation needs to take and keep minutes, by law,” said Maislin in an interview with the City of Toronto, explaining that the financial and legal risks of foregoing proper minutes can be substantial. “It’s easy to skew minutes and either forget to incorporate important items, or incorporate items that shouldn’t be included.”

Maislin initiated his business venture alone but soon sought the partnership of his childhood friend, Marko Lindhe. The two met while playing hockey as children but eventually lost touch, until they reconnected during their studies at Dalhousie through a mutual friend.

Maislin studied entrepreneurship and innovation at Dalhousie’s Rowe School of Business, earning an entrepreneurship award during his studies. Lindhe completed a Bachelor of Arts, double-majoring in political science and sociology and social anthropology.
