Dalhousie University School of Architecture alumnus, Peter Yeadon (MArch’89) was featured in the March issue of Landscape Architecture magazine for his large land art installation project, Wind Forest. Landscape Architecture is the magazine of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

The Wind Forest Project is a permanent public art installation that uses an innovative form of oscillating wind power to generate enough electricity for approximately 300 dwellings. The project is an important part of the new mixed-use development planned for Dundas Hill in Glasgow, Scotland.

The project uses bladeless wind turbines to create a series of inhabitable groves, turning the hillside into something between a public park and a power plant. The project is being prototyped on site next year. The project team includes: Yeadon Space Agency, ZM Architecture, Dalziel + Scullion, and Qmulus Ltd.
