Rodger Moran (BA’11) has found his voice as co-host of New Left Radio (NLR), a weekly podcast that covers Canadian politics, social issues, and current events from a Democratic Socialist viewpoint.
Wendy Stewart (DDH’01) will take up her new role in October 2020.
Prior to and since completing his PhD in 2018 in Curriculum Studies in EFL, Tory S. Thorkelson (BA’90) has been working on researching and publishing articles based on the program he helped create at Hanyang University and other ELT issues.
Emily Sharpe (BA’05) recently published a book of literary criticism entitled Mosaic Fictions: Writing Identity in the Spanish Civil War with the University of Toronto Press.
Pursuing a Doctorate Alex MacLellan (MPA’07) was recently accepted to Carleton University’s PhD in Public Policy. Studies are scheduled to begin in September of 2020.
Jim Lawrence (BSc’69, PhD’72), had his method for testing shellfish for certain paralytic toxins pass into law in the European Union. Member countries must use the method for resolving trade disputes involving shellfish.
Andrew Ager (BMus’85) had the Ottawa premiere of his opera “Frankenstein” in an acclaimed production in the Fall of 2019
A New Challenge! Denise Trim (BEng’87, MEng’99) became Director General for Real Property Management at RCMP in June 2019. After 6 years working in a broader context at RCMP it was time to move back to real property! It’s a challenging job, great place to work and lots to do!
Honoured to share Drew White (LLB’88), was honoured in December to be appointed as a Queen’s Counsel by the BC Attorney General. In 2019 he also completed a two-year assignment for the United Nations in Afghanistan, where he led field teams documenting civilian casualties and human rights violations.
