Impact student success with the Dalhousie Fund

The Dalhousie Fund is the university’s annual fundraising appeal. Each year, thousands of alumni and friends come together to support students and enhance educational opportunities. In recent years, that meant more than $5 million was raised for important initiatives, programs, and awards. 

Gifts to the Dalhousie Fund make a meaningful difference to encourage student success through: scholarships and bursaries, opportunities for hands-on learning such as field research, competitions, and international study, state-of-the-art technology , and community-focused activities such as internships, outreach clinics, or service learning.

Giving is easy

Monthly giving

You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the impact you can make by setting up a monthly gift to the Dalhousie Fund. And it’s easy to do! It can be a monthly charge on your credit card, a preauthorized gift from your bank account (with a voided cheque) or, if you’re a Dal employee, a payroll deduction.

An annual gift

Making a gift every year to the Dalhousie Fund ensures the university, your faculty or program continues to grow stronger every year. It ensures that more and more students receive that special and unique educational experience that sets Dalhousie apart.

Class projects

Class Giving Projects are about Dalhousie alumni reuniting with their class and working together to make a difference in the lives of current and future students. 

projectDAL

projectDAL is an innovative tool to help members of the Dal community tell their story, reach potential donors, and raise funds. projectDAL has a social media component, allowing students and others to spread the word about campaigns in a fun, creative way.

Special projects

Dalhousie Fund special projects are unique funding opportunities, often connected to a larger initiative or fundraising campaign.

Did you speak with one of our student fundraisers on the phone? Our digital engagement centre operates from September to the end of April each year and employs current Dalhousie students who can help you make your gift over the phone.
