Dental Clinic Renewal
For over 100 years, Dalhousie’s dental clinic has provided oral health care services to the community, while giving dental students exceptional learning opportunities. The clinic is always evolving, adding new technology, procedures and equipment.
The Faculty is now embarking on a clinic renewal project, which will take dental education at Dalhousie to an exciting new level. The renewed dental clinic will be a connection point for the knowledge, skills and personal development which take place throughout the programs.
Tradition meets innovation
The project will strengthen the Faculty’s pre-clinical program, enrich the undergraduate experience and expand graduate opportunities. New features will include a small group practice model for clinic operations, simulation lab and an enhanced clinic. The plans will impact all three levels of the clinic, creating a more user-friendly and modern oral health education and treatment facility.
Quick facts: More than 170 dental students and 80 hygiene students provide care to approximately 6,000 patients each year.
