5 Tips for planning your reunion
Many alumni head back to campus each year for Homecoming — a celebration of all things Dal. This is the perfect time to rally together friends you haven’t seen in a while — those you shared memories with, laughed and learned with years ago.
Each class or group has its own unique personality, and alumni sometimes know best what reunion experience will work for their particular group. Get in touch with your faculty alumni officer, and together let’s plan the perfect reunion.
Gather your list of invitees
Start by contacting the Alumni Relations Team. Once you have signed a confidentiality agreement, we can provide a list of contacts.
Contact your classmates
Invite everyone on your list to a reunion. If there are any ‘lost’ people on your list that we don’t have contact info for, ask around to see if others can locate them.
Plan your Event
Decide on the format you’d like for your reunion. Your class has its own personality and will remember the university in a unique way. Consider venues on campus and around Halifax that will best suit your group. Consider cost when planning your activities; it may also be a factor.
Let us help
Share your plans, and we can help with some of the supplies and communications. We’ll also share our schedule of faculty and university-wide events, which you may find helpful in making your plans.
Finalize your plans and enjoy!
Contact your group with final details of your itinerary and confirm numbers. Contact venues to make final arrangements and then get ready to have a great time.
