Computer Science graduates

Catalyzing change

Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) alumni have many reasons to connect and celebrate. The largest computer science unit in the Maritimes, 2017 marked our faculty’s 20th anniversary. This year, we celebrate Dalhousie’s 200th.

To mark these milestones, our focus is on our “We Are All CS” initiative. We have ambitious plans to tackle gender diversity, acting as a catalyst for change in breaking down barriers within the sector and faculty. Our immediate goal is to double our number of female-identifying incoming students in September 2018.

We are home to technology sandbox ShiftKey Labs, an innovation hub supporting students, alumni and the community to collaborate. In 2013, we launched the Institute for Big Data Analytics, the first of its kind in Canada.

As a Computer Science grad, there are many ways for you to get involved with FCS. We organize regular events to bring you together with faculty and students, publish a yearly computer science magazine, and encourage you to share your stories with us and the wider Dal community. Take part in any of these events, or become an alumni volunteer!
