Reveal your volunteer hero
It’s easy to breeze through your day without thinking about them. Not noticing their encouraging words, their tireless enthusiasm for your success, or how they always have your back. You may not even realize that they do it all for you.
They are people like your:
- Volunteer coaches
- Faculty and program advisory board members
- Dal alumni mentors
- Expert contributors
- Committee members
- Community advocates
- And many others who commit their time and talent to supporting student success and advancing Dalhousie
Oh, and by the way, many of these individuals were once students at Dalhousie. We recognize them by presenting the A. Gordon Archibald Award each year. This award honours alumni who have significantly participated in a voluntary, non-salaried leadership role at Dalhousie.
Who will you nominate?
Watch why student-athlete Jessica Shannon (BSc (Kinesiology)’16) nominated her track coach, Kevin Bourgeois (MBA’96) last year (he won!). Do you know an unsung Dal hero deserving of this award?
It’s easy to submit a nomination. You have until Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 to get yours in.
Get in touch with Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions about the nomination process. We can also confirm whether your nominee meets the criteria. Good luck to you and your nominee!
