career conversation guest speakers

Do you want to learn more about graduate programs at Dalhousie? Or are you curious about career opportunities following grad school? Join us at Career Connects, a virtual event presented by the Faculties of Science and Graduate Studies, to learn real-world advice from alumni who have completed graduate programs at Dalhousie University.

This session is open to undergraduate and graduate students (master’s and PhD), postdoctoral fellows, faculty, and alumni from all faculties. The conversation will provide professional advice following the completion of a science-based graduate program. Virtual attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A period at the event.

Guests include:

Julie Reimer (MMM’16), PhD, Senior Policy Advisor and Team Lead, Fisheries and Oceans Canada | Part-time Academic, Marine Affairs Program, Dalhousie University

Alex Cole (MMM’18), Fisheries Management Specialist and Research Lead, Canadian Wildlife Federation

Frederica Jacks (BSc’18, MREM’20), Species at Risk Biologist, Fisheries and Oceans Canada

The panel will be moderated by Department of Chemistry PhD candidate Joe Bedard, who recently finished in first place at the Falling Walls Science Summit pitch competition in Berlin, Germany!

The event will include special remarks from senior leaders in the Faculties of Science and Graduate Studies.
