Born and raised in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Jaime Nickerson is a graduate of Dalhousie University’s School of Health and Human Performance. While obtaining her Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology), Ms. Nickerson served as president of the Student Association for Health and Human Performance, executive member of the Dalhousie Student Union Elections Committee and Shinerama Committee, and committed several seasons to the Dalhousie Athletic Trainers Association.

A recipient of the Dalhousie Student Union ‘Unsung Hero’ Award and Golden ‘D’ Award for volunteer work and outstanding contributions to student life at Dal, Ms. Nickerson went on to complete the Diploma in Pedorthics at the University of Western Ontario and practices as a Canadian Certified Pedorthist with Orthotics East Ltd in downtown Halifax.

In addition to her new role on the Dalhousie Alumni Association Board of Directors, Ms. Nickerson also serves on the Pedorthic Association of Canada’s (PAC) Communications Committee and writes for PAC’s Pedorthic Quarterly publication.
