During her time as a student Colette was heavily involved in campus life, including playing on the women’s soccer team, acting as president of her residence, volunteering in multiple capacities and serving as Students’ Union president from 2009 to 2010. During her term as Students’ Union president, Colette worked closely with the Alumni Relations office to establish the faculty’s first official alumni ring. Over the course of her studies Colette was presented with a number of different awards recognizing her contribution to campus and was named valedictorian and life president of her class upon graduation.
Colette has since completed her advanced diploma in public relations and has worked in the agriculture industry since graduating. Presently, as Community Education Manager at the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus, Colette leads the Faculty of Agriculture’s efforts to raise the profile of agriculture in high schools and communities in the region. Colette is vice chair of the Faculty of Agriculture’s Alumni Association, and she takes great pride in serving and giving back to alumni of her alma mater.
