Penny Tham – Vancouver

Penny (LLB’84) began as a lawyer in Vancouver before her career led her around the world. Her last position was in Washington D.C with the International Finance Corporation, before retiring in 2015 and returning to Vancouver. Read more »

Katelyn (BSc’16) is studying to become an Environmental Health Officer this year, with experience studying food safety. With a passion for bringing people together, she hopes to support alumni in Edmonton to continue to grow and network. Read more »

Dr. Leland McFadden – Winnipeg

Dr. McFadden (MSc’84), also known as Lee, is an assistant professor at the University of Manitoba where he teaches undergraduate and graduate level Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics. Read more »

Al (BMgmt’16) is the Director of Technology at a business technology company founded by two Dalhousie alumni in 2013. As the Toronto Ambassador, Al is dedicated to building an engaged community of fellow alumni in his city. Read more »

Taylor Smith – Ottawa

A reading and yoga enthusiast, Taylor (BA’16) graduated with honours in Sociology and Political Science before pursuing her masters and joining the federal government with the Department of Justice in Ottawa.

Stefanie Butt – Montreal

Born and raised in Montreal, Stefanie (BA’07) studied law and worked in corporate governance before entering her career in the non-for-profit sector with Federation CJA, the fundraising arm of the Montreal Jewish community. Read more »

Courtney Larkin – Fredericton

A proud entrepreneur in Fredericton, Courtney (BMgmt’10) volunteered as Executive Vice President (2013-15) and President (2015-17) of the Dalhousie Alumni Association before becoming an Alumni Ambassador for her region. Read more »

Mahbubur Rahman – Halifax

Originally from Bangladesh, Mahbubur (MASc’16) came to Halifax in 2013 and is an avid volunteer in the Halifax community. Now a Project Manager at Dalhousie, he is dedicated to enhancing experiences for fellow alumni and students. Read more »

Keri McCaffrey – PEI

Keri McCaffrey (MLIS’17) earned her BA in History at UPEI in 2015, and moved to Halifax to pursue her Masters in Library and Information Studies that same fall. Now Keri is back in PEI striving to use her degree to better the community. Read more »

Chief Compliance Officer at an event-driven Hedge Fund and Managing Director of a registered Broker Dealer, Katherine (BComm’05) lives in Brooklyn and has been active with the local alumni community for several years. Read more>>

Peter (BSc’70, BScPh’72) established a successful pharmacy practice before engaging in property investment as Managing Director of several private companies. He is now President of Dal’s oldest Alumni Chapter. Read more>>
