Audrey Wubbenhorst (MBA’08) had the opportunity to be in Bogotà, Colombia in July 2023 as a Canadian technical expert.

Four-time Dal-King’s alum Roselle Green (BA’59, MA’63, DPA’73, BJ) was among 25 Nova Scotians to be awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal at a ceremony in the Red Chamber of Government in January.

Dalhousie powercouple, Jim and Andrea Power (BComm’88 & MPA’10) (Dowthwaite) will retire together in July 2023! Jim was a Dalhousie sessional faculty member from 2006-2009 and a Limited Term Appointment (LTA) 2009-2018 in the Faculty of Management teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting and finance.

Dal alum Kyle Train (BCOM’18) has been named General Manager of Hilton Head National Luxury RV Resort located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

James (Jim) Stewart (BA’79, MPA’81) was named the 2021 recipient of the Lieutenant-Governor’s Medal for Excellence in Public Administration. The medal is awarded annually to a person in public administration who exhibits the highest standard of excellence, dedication and accomplishment.

Jesse Albiston (BComm’14) is the co-founder of Bitstrapped, an MLOps provider. Jesse is also working on vision intelligence, data pipelines and Google Cloud infrastructure for Spot, the robot dog from Boston Dynamics.

James Boxall (MA’00, MLIS’06), the Dalhousie University Libraries Geographer and Map Curator, was recently honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for service to education.

Paul Moore (MBA’98) has come out of semi-retirement to accept a position as Lead Coordinator – Communications and Media Relations, with Illinois Central College in East Peoria, IL.
