Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Arvin graduated from Dalhousie University in 2019 with a Masters in Electronic Commerce (MEC). Arvin joined the Board of the Dalhousie Alumni Association in 2020 and was elected Vice President in 2021.

Now in Ottawa, Arvin is a Special Advisor within the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada. Arvin is also an active Responder on the Canadian Red Cross’ Emergency Response Team (ERT) in Ottawa.

Previously in Toronto, Arvin worked in digital marketing and managed the advertising strategy of top brands such as the Home Depot Canada and Ford Motor Company of Canada. He is also proud to have been a Mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto.

Arvin holds an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and the Humanities from York University. He also completed a certificate in Business Analysis at the University of Toronto and related courses at Boston University and George Brown College.
