Co-chair

Joseph Macdonald, MBA’91, is the co-founder and owner/operator of Home On The Range Adventure Tours. Prior to starting with Home On The Range, Joseph served as President of Angus Associates, change management and training consultants to the financial services industry and Director of the MBA (Financial Services) at Dalhousie University.

Joseph has had the opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in International Business, Multicultural Management, Tourism, Finance, Accounting and Strategic Management at a variety of institutions including Dalhousie University , Xiamen University (China), the University of Botswana, University of Calgary, Mount Royal University and Career College (Edmonton). He has held management, training and consulting positions in businesses in North America, Asia and Africa.

Joseph has been a foster parent with PLAN Canada since 1972, is a volunteer mentor with the University of Calgary Emerging Leaders Program, sits on the Advisory Committee for SAIT’s Tourism Program and is a faculty advisor to the University of Calgary MBA Consulting Alliance. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of Tourism Calgary and as an Advisory Board member for the Cowboy Heritage Tourism Innovation Project. He also served as Chair for the Inter-cultural Connections Association of Nova Scotia and was a Board member for Big Brothers in both Halifax and Medicine Hat.

Joseph volunteered for the Calgary Chapter Alumni Executive because of his strong belief that nothing surpasses networking as a means of fostering career development, supporting the future of Dalhousie University and impacting the decision of potential students to select Dalhousie as a critical step in completing their education.
