Alex Atiol (BA'96)

Alex Atiol (BA (Economics)’96) was once a newcomer to Halifax. His arrival in 1993 brought with it lots of surprises.

Studying at Dalhousie and volunteering in the community helped make Alex’s transition easier. “It didn’t take me long to feel part of society,”  he says.

Now Alex, who works as coordinator of orientation services at ISIS, makes a living helping other newcomers adjust to life in Nova Scotia.
