Mathew Georghiou‘s (BEng (TUNS)’93) latest project is one of seven finalists for Microsoft‘s competition to find the best game in Canada – Codename GOA.
The Cape Bretoner has created a game called GoVenture World, which aims to be a groundbreaking innovation in entrepreneurship and business. The game allows players to simulate running a business, competing against and collaborating with other players around the world.
GoVenture World is part of a series of educational digital games created by MediaSpark, which Georghiou founded and leads as CEO. The company’s games have been used by over one million users worldwide, and the firm has presented demos to audiences including White House senior policy advisers.
Georghiou is in Montreal this week providing a demo of his game at the Montreal International Gaming Competition. The winner of Microsoft’s competition is slated to be announced this week.
