Brian Perry (MBA’89) is COO and a co-founder of LifeRaft, a platform that reports on potential threats identified in social media posts. The Halifax-based startup is expecting $2.5 million in venture capital funding to propel its growth. Already in use by more than 100 active or trial users primarily in post-secondary education and law enforcement, the tool recently led authorities to make an arrest.

LifeRaft previously secured $700,000 in seed funding, plus $270,000 from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency since its launch last year.
