Reuben Cohen
Reuben Cohen (BA’42, LLB’44, LLD’88), a lawyer, philanthropist and former chancellor of Dalhousie, has died at the age of 93.

Cohen is well-known in the city of Moncton for his work as a lawyer, his philanthropic efforts and for his support of arts and education.

He is also known for founding the multi-billion dollar Central Guaranty Trust Corporation.

Cohen received the Order of Canada in 1979, and the Order of New Brunswick in 2010. He also won the 1994 A. Gordon Archibald Dalhousie Alumni Award in recognition of his volunteerism to Dalhousie.
