Emilie Taman (LLB’04) wins NDP nomination for Ottawa-Vanier
Yesterday, Emilie Taman (LLB’04) came out on top in a close contest for the NDP nomination in the Ottawa-Vanier federal riding. Four candidates vied for the nomination, and Taman was chosen to take on competitors from other parties in this year’s federal election.
After finishing her law degree at Dalhousie, Taman moved to Ottawa and began her career as a law clerk with the Supreme Court of Canada. She has since worked as a policy lawyer, and until recently, as a criminal prosecutor for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
