Lee Cohen (LLB'80)Lee Cohen (LLB’80) will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity from the Atlantic School of Theology on May 3.

“He epitomizes what we believe our honorary doctorate is about,” says Rev. Canon Jody Clarke, academic dean of the School of Theology.

Cohen is recognized as the Maritimes’ most famous immigration lawyer. One of his well-known cases involved a family of refugees who lived in a church basement for more than a year. The family members were eventually granted Canadian citizenship.
