Team FOXY reacts to winning $1 million.

The team behind FOXY (Fostering Open eXpression among Youth) are celebrating winning a $1 million Arctic Inspiration Prize.

Since 2012, co-founder Candice Lys (MA (Health Promotion)’09) and the team at FOXY have been providing sexual health and leadership education to young women in the Northwest Territories.

She was inspired by her own negative experience with sex education as a teenager in Canada’s north.

While prize money has been divided among multiple winners in the past, FOXY will receive the entire amount this year.
