Event Details

The Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) is excited to again be planning the annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition at Dalhousie University. 3MT is a unique skills development activity which challenges graduate students in research-based programs to present their theses in three minutes or less to a non-specialist audience.

Participants will be judged on how effectively they are able to communicate their research. There will be cash prizes available to the finalists. The top finalists will also have the opportunity to compete at the Eastern Regional Competition at Memorial University of Newfoundland in April and even go on to the national competition.

The preliminary heats on are all day on Wednesday March 9th in room 303 of the Student Union Building. The finals will be on the evening of March 10th in Tupper Theatre B, followed by a reception.
