DemoCamp, a Volta backed event created to connect early stage companies with real-world feedback and funding opportunities is coming to Halifax for the 5th time. This marks a milestone year for the grassroots event.

DemoCamp is an event for the regional technology and startup community to come together and share what they’ve built, give each other feedback, and connect with one another. Over its 5 years of existence, DemoCamp Halifax has attracted over 1,500 attendees, showcased over 25 companies and resulted in over 200 hours of mentorship by speakers.

Five companies will have 5 minutes to demonstrate their products at the event in a “-live-” manner. Companies are restricted from using power point or videos. Demos will be followed by a quick audience Q&A.

Other speakers at the DemoCamp include Joel Burke (BComm’11), a local digital analytics consultant for major brands, Tracy Terill, former LegalZoom CTO, coming to Halifax from California, Matt Roberts of BDC Ventures, and Jacqueline Morck of KeyIn out of Las Vegas. The list keeps expanding weekly as our event grows closer.
