Keep your @dal.ca email account after you graduate to give your email communications a professional touch. As alumni, you may continue to access your Dalhousie email account through outlook.com/dal.ca. Use your @dal.ca email address on your resume to make a great first impression! It’s also an easy way to find out about opportunities for alumni and to keep in touch with classmates and faculty.
Dalhousie enhanced its communication and collaboration tools for the entire Dal community with Office 365 in 2013/14. All alumni with active @dal.ca email addresses had their accounts migrated to this system in early 2014. Please note that access to Office 365 OneDrive and myDal will no longer be available to you as alumni.
If your account is no longer active, or if you are interested in setting up a new account, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 902.494.8801 (or toll free in N.A.: 1.800.565.9969).
Alumni technical services transition – summer 2015
As you transition from student to alumnus/na, you will have continued access to the Dalhousie wireless network while visiting campus. You may continue to access DalOnline, and your dal.ca email will be available to you for life. You can use your mail on your personal devices or through web mail at outlook.com/dal.ca
Some services will be no longer be available to you. Access to wired internet on campus, Office 365 OneDrive, and myDal will be discontinued. If during your time as a student you used OneDrive to store files it is important that you transfer these files prior to the service being deactivated at the end of August. Once OneDrive is deactivated the files will be permanently removed.
