Christian Weisenburger (MBA’06), who has become known for his legal work in Nova Scotia’s start-up scene and his love of Halifax, was at one point on the brink of changing his career and moving across the Atlantic.

“Then it hit me how much I loved Halifax and that I did like law…I’d only been supposed to be in Halifax for a few years, but it had become a lifelong thing,” said Weisenburger in an interview with The Chronicle Herald.

After deciding to settle down in Halifax, Weisenburger started a business in 2009. Christian Weisenburger Law, Inc., formerly known as Beyond the Box Law, focuses on startups. The company also deals with commercial law, financing, taxation, and intellectual property.

Today, the majority of his time is spent working as in-house council for three local companies, which focus on green technology and health care.
